 What is the difference engine?


1. It is an automatic mechanical calculator.

2. It was designed to perform mathematical operations automatically.

3. It is powered by system.

4.  It is the earliest automatic calculator.

5. Difference engine was designed by Charles Babbage in 1822.

6. He began to construct difference engine in 1819 & announced his invitation on June 14, 1822.

:: Theory and history

:- The first step towards the creation of computer was made by an English mathematics professor Charles Babbage.

:- He realised that all mathematical calculations can be broken up to simple operations which are the than constantly repeated and these operations could be carried out by an automatic machine.

:- 1820s Charles Babbage started working on a "difference engine".

:- After 10 years he abandoned.

:- Charles Babbage outline the basic elements of a modern propose computer which was bases on the method of finite difference.

:- Only uses arithmetical additions and remove.

:- The need for multiplication and division which are more difficult to implement.

:- Charles Babbage is called the father of computer.

WHAT IS THE HARD DISK DRIVE? A hard disk, also known as a hard drive, is a storage device used in computers and other digital devices to store data. These platters spin rapidly while a read/write head moves across the surface to read or write data.
